More girls and women in digital can make the difference !

We are excited to announce an upcoming coding workshop aimed at inspiring young girls – and their mothers – to dive into the world of digital creation.
What to expect:
Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, Elisabeth Margue, Luxembourg Minister of Justice, and Stéphanie Obertin, Minister for Digitalization, Minister for Research and Higher Education, will open the event.
Inspirational talks by prominent women in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will follow and then, participants will engage in a live, hands-on coding activity, led by Workshop4Me.
Who can Attend:
The workshop is designed for girls aged 8 to 14 and their mothers, encouraging them to explore coding together.
Participants will create an application using drag-and-drop coding to add filters like googly eyes and a hat using facial recognition and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This activity will be in English.
Practical Details:
• The workshop will accommodate a maximum of 17 ‘daughter & mother’ pairs.
• Participants are required to bring a laptop camera that can connect to the internet and has a front-facing camera.
• No prior coding experience is necessary.
This workshop will take place at the Foyer Européen – 10, rue Heinrich Heine, L-1720 Luxembourg.
