The State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg does not collect personal data, apart from IP addresses in web server logs for security purposes. The user’s consent is not necessary before visiting this website.

The controller of these data is the Body responsible for this website.

These personal data are accessible only to authorised staff of the Body responsible for this website and, if necessary, to recipients in the context of carrying out their duties and achieving the stated purposes.

These data are retained for a strictly necessary period.

The legal rules on the protection of personal data, in particular the rights granted to data subjects in relation to the processing carried out (right of access to data, right to rectification of data, etc.), apply under the relevant conditions and subject to the exceptions and derogations provided for.

2. Possible use of personal data by the services of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth following contact by the user

By browsing this website, the user can obtain information about the various services offered by the Body responsible for this website, namely the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth.

Processing related to newsletter management

The email address entered when subscribing to this website’s newsletter will be disclosed solely for the purpose of distributing the newsletter to a processor, in particular the company “Mailjet”, established in Paris, France, which is subject to the same legal obligations concerning the protection of personal data.

Processing related to audience measurement

Certain data relating to the user’s hardware and software which cannot identify them are collected during their visit to the public website. The sole purpose of this collection is to obtain traffic statistics (browser type, resolution, approximate location, etc.) in order to serve users as well as possible.

The user’s full IP address is never retained. Only part of the IP address is retained to obtain aggregate statistics, and it is never possible to identify a user.

These data are retained and hosted in Europe in a solution provided by a processor, in particular the company Adobe Systems Inc., which, as a processor, is subject to the same legal obligations concerning the protection of personal data, should such data be collected in the future.

The retention period for the data does not exceed the period necessary to observe changes in audiences according to changes in browsers, resolutions used or other available statistical data.

Activity Box: information notice concerning the processing of personal data

The Eltereforum service of the Directorate-General for Child and Family Welfare (hereinafter: DGAEF) is an entity of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth responsible for distributing the Activity Box as part of the ministry’s national “Sécher Digital” campaign.

The information collected through this booking is recorded in a computerised file by the DGAEF as controller to enable the distribution of Activity Boxes reserved by children’s legal representatives at the Eltereforum service’s collection points, as indicated in the calendar on Eltereforum.lu.

Under Article 6.1 of European Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter “the Regulation”), the lawfulness of the processing of personal data depends on the consent of the person concerned by that processing.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent carried out before its withdrawal.

To exercise your right to withdraw your consent, please send an email to eltereforum@men.lu specifying the processing for which you wish to withdraw your consent.

The processing of data concerns any child, or their parents or the persons holding parental authority, completing and submitting a booking for an Activity Box collection slot to the DGAEF’s Eltereforum service.

Personal data collected

  • the child’s surname, first name and date of birth;

  • the surname and first name of the parent and/or legal representative;

  • the email address of a parent or legal representative of the child.

Following your request to collect the Activity Box, your personal data will be stored in a secure IT environment accessible only to staff of the DGAEF’s Eltereforum service and will under no circumstances be disclosed to a third party.

The processing of your personal data will be restricted to making an Activity Box available to you and its physical collection, limited to one copy per family with a child under 3 years of age.

The data collected are retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above, namely, in particular, booking an Activity Box collection slot. They will be automatically deleted within 3 months of the sending of the email confirming registration for this event.

In Articles 15 to 21, the Regulation provides, for holders of personal data, the right to information, the right of access to data, the right to rectification and erasure of data, the right to restriction of data processing and the right to data portability.
