"Making equality between men and women a reality: The entire government is committed to promoting equality between women and men in all areas and at all levels of society. It is guided in this approach by the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men (MEGA).
Raising public awareness of the consequences of unbalanced or even discriminatory representation of men and women is an essential pillar of the MEGA's work. Numerous campaigns have been launched since the ministry was set up in 1995 (when it was known as the "Ministry for the Advancement of Women"). These campaigns address specific themes around gender equality that concern us all. A recurring example is the deconstruction of stereotypes and roles traditionally attributed to the sexes. To provide a common thread for the efforts being made by the various ministries, MEGA has drawn up the " National action plan for gender equality The report is entitled "Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the Public Sector" and assesses any shortcomings and targets to be achieved in terms of equal opportunities for women and men in the public sector.
