INTERACTION
Parent forums promote interaction and meetings among parents and between parents and professionals. They make it easier for a wide range of competent partners to network, and provide a modern, science-based approach to parenting.
INFORMATION
Parent forums provide access to quality information on parenting. They act as a source of information and actively contribute to increasing the awareness of parenting issues among society as a whole. Their mission is to empower parents.
SUPPORT
Parent forums support, guide and strengthen parents in their parenting mission. They provide whatever assistance is necessary, accompanying parents throughout the various stages their children go through. Parent forums support parents, respecting their circumstances, skills and abilities.
Parent forums are places for discussion, information and support, for all parents.
They are welcoming places where parents are supported and strengthened in every dimension of their parenting.
The Eltereforum Department operates preventively, following an approach based on parents' strengths and needs.
Parent forums make networking easier; they use a wide range of partners with competence in parenting.
PARENTS
Parent forums are for all parents, from pregnancy throughout all the stages their children go through:
TEAM
Parent forums are to be set up in all the regions of the Grand Duchy.
They will be led by regional coordinators who will set up an offer in close collaboration with players in the region (municipalities, schools, day-care centres, crèches, associations, etc).
The network of forums is steered by the Eltereforum Department at the ministry of Education, Children and Youth; the Department's members form a multidisciplinary guidance team.
