ALUPSE-Bébé deals with situations in which young pregnant women or women who have just given birth are faced with multiple problems that undermine the mother-father-child relationship. It is important to put in place primary prevention measures for attachment disorders and to provide help at the earliest possible stage. This work focuses on mother-father-baby interaction. Its aim is to promote good care and the maintenance of the living environment. Requests are presented by professionals and discussed at multidisciplinary meetings.

Women in distress a.s.b.l.

The association's aim is to offer women, their children and young girls effective protection against violence by developing and running shelters for women and young girls in distress, and information and counselling centres.

It provides women clients of its services and reception centres with temporary accommodation, with or without supervision.

MEGA – Ministère de l’Egalité entre les femmes et les hommes

“Faire de l’égalité entre hommes et femmes une réalité” : Le gouvernement entier s’engage à promouvoir l’égalité des femmes et des hommes dans tous les domaines et à tous les niveaux de la société. Il est guidé dans cette démarche par le ministère de l’Égalité entre les femmes et les hommes (MEGA).

La sensibilisation du grand public par rapport aux conséquences d’une représentation déséquilibrée, voire discriminante des hommes et des femmes est un pilier essentiel du travail du MEGA. De nombreuses campagnes ont vu le jour depuis la création du ministère en 1995 (nommé “ministère de la promotion féminine” à l’époque). Ces campagnes abordent, des thèmes spécifiques autour de l’égalité des femmes et des hommes, qui nous concernent tous. Un exemple récurrent est la déconstruction des stéréotypes et des rôles attribués traditionnellement aux deux sexes. Pour donner un fil rouge aux efforts entamés par les différents ministères, le MEGA a élaboré le “Plan d’action national pour une égalité entre les femmes et les hommes” qui évalue les lacunes éventuelles et objectifs à atteindre au niveau de l’égalité des chances entre femmes et hommes dans le secteur public.

MNHN – Musée national d’histoire naturelle

The National Museum of Natural History welcomes visitors in three buildings on either side of the rue Münster. Each building is dedicated to a different type of activity. The Hospice Saint-Jean houses the 'Natur-Musée' with its permanent and temporary exhibitions. The education building has three classrooms for environmental education and awareness-raising activities for young people and especially school groups.

Finally, the Scientific Research Centre comprises six laboratory offices and two repositories for the collections. Here, a team of researchers, and above all volunteer scientists, study the specimens in the collections and work on the scientific aspects of our museum.

SKKD - Service Krank Kanner Doheem

The "Krank Kanner Doheem Service" offers individual care at home for sick children.

The service enables parents to continue working or training, while giving their children the opportunity to recover in the best possible conditions, within their familiar environment. Priority is given to requests from single-parent families.

On-call duty is provided from Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm.
Each intervention must last at least 4 hours and may not exceed 9 consecutive hours.
From the 2nd day onwards, a medical certificate may be required.

Krank Kanner Doheem" staff are trained in family and social work and regularly take part in in-house training courses organised by the department.

FR - We provide support for children, young people and their parents who have suffered the loss of a loved one and are dealing with the resulting grief. We offer them a protected space where they can meet other children and young people who have been through similar experiences. Through sharing and expressing their feelings, they learn to manage and cope with their suffering.

Trauerwee also supports all professionals working with bereaved children and young people.

 

DE - We support children, young people and their families in dealing with the loss of a loved one and the subsequent trauma. We provide children with a safe environment in which they can communicate with other children who have similar needs. Through sharing and the opportunity to talk about their experiences and feelings and to learn from each other, the children learn to find a better way of interacting with each other, with stress and frustration.

Trauerwee ist auch Ansprechpartner und bietet Unterstützung für alle Fachkräfte im Umgang mit trauernden Kindern und Jugendlichen.

 

EN - Our association supports children, youngsters and parents in grief. We create a safe space and are offering grieving groups to give children the possibility to come together to share their experiences of grief. We provide assistance to the parents to help them understand and support their grieving children. This may involve counseling, activities, or programs designed to help them express their feelings and cope with their emotions.

We offer training for adults such as teachers to educate them about the grieving process and increase the awareness of the needs of bereaved children and young people.

We believe that no child should be alone as they navigate the death of a loved one.
