Infant feeding

The "baby food" guide is part of a series of guides on balanced nutrition. These guides are produced as part of the national "Gesond iessen, Méi beweegen" (GIMB) programme. They update the national recommendations for baby food and are regularly updated on the GIMB website (https://gimb.public.lu/fr.html). They were drawn up in collaboration with the Ligue médico-sociale and a group of experts in the field of early childhood.

breastfeed their babies and overcome any problems that may arise during the breastfeeding period. The current edition of the German brochure "Stillen von A bis Z" takes into account the latest scientific knowledge on breastfeeding. You can read it with peace of mind during your pregnancy and refer to it during the breastfeeding period.

Allaiter et travailler – C’est un droit !

This brochure describes the benefits of breast milk, makes the links between breastfeeding and work and highlights the advantages for employers. The Ministry of Health is in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO), which recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of a baby's life and continued breastfeeding for up to 2 years and beyond, gradually accompanied by appropriate complementary foods.

The aim of the “Initiativ Liewensufank” in publishing this booklet is to give practical and useful information to women
who intend to breastfeed, as well as offer whatever help they may need in order to start breastfeeding their babies confidently, and to enable them to deal with any problems
they may encounter during their breastfeeding time. The present booklet has taken into account new scientific information about
breastfeeding. You can read it at your ease during your pregnancy and you will be able to refer to it while you are breastfeeding.

Diese Rezeptesammlung hat die Ernährungsberaterin der “Initiativ Liewensufank”, I. Henschen, zusammengestellt. Sie leitete
den Workshop "Ernährung im Beikostalter". Die Inhalte basieren auf den Empfehlungen der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO), die das exklusive Stillen während der ersten 6 Lebensmonate und das Fortsetzen des Stillens bis zum Alter von zwei Jahren oder darüber hinaus befürworten.
